How do I become a new patient?

You may make an appointment with the reception at Ashirwad Pain Relief Centre. Please mention the referral and the need for a consult at the time of appointment. Telephone consultations are not encouraged.

What do I need to get at the time of appointment?

Please get the Relevant investigations along with you for the consultation- MRI images and reports, all relevant blood tests, Nerve conduction studies, Bone Density tests, Bone scans etc. Please get records of previous treatments at the time of your first visit.

What can I expect during my first visit?

The first visit involves a thorough history taking and a detailed clinical examination along with an evaluation of all the reports that you shall bring. This visit aims to diagnose your chronic pain state, after which a treatment plan shall be proposed to you. The aim would be to ensure a recovery to a level of satisfactory function. If your pains are severe, or you have been referred for a Procedure, it can be done the same day if there are no contraindications to it.

Who will be involved in my care?

You will be seen by various medical professionals during your visit. Our Faculty link details the different Faculty affiliated to Ashirwad pain Relief Centre.

What can I expect when I call to speak with my doctor?

Your queries are important to us. However, not many problems can be sorted out over telephone interviews. For severe pain states, we have home visitation facilities.

What course of treatment can I expect from this clinic?

Our treatment protocol is holistic and it focuses on Rehabilitation and Pain relief. The aim is to give you back the Quality of life that you wanted to achieve, but were unable to because of the pain.

Is a pain block not a temporary measure?

Yes, but your pain can be made a temporary issue once the right Rehabilitation strategies are implemented.

Will my pain management help me avoid surgery?

Pain management involves getting your pain to go away to negligible levels- and the appropriate treatment for doing so may or may not involve Surgery.
